A unique set of foundational concepts that have evolved over the years that explain the how and why factors of the art we practice. The ideas were developed over time by researching the fundamental dynamics found in the first four foundational levels of the martial system taught. These are the Introduction/Initiation Level, the Fundamentals Level, The Stance/Power Base Level, and the Flow Level. This process and the techniques and methods introduced during each training period are designed to build a well-rounded, balanced individual practitioner, empirically.
The initial explanations and definitions presented are a starting point from which the student builds understanding of specific ideas, which eventually leads to their organic combination into more advanced applications in their journey in the art. Welcome to the concepts of the Ukinju-Ryu ( receiving water) Budo WAY.
Keep checking this page as the content is added in the coming weeks!
Below is a list of Ukinju-Ryu Budo techniques taught at the Hombu dojo from our Kenpo lineage. The parentheses letter/number reference to the corresponding belt rank and technique number that demonstrates the concept used.
