The Ukinju-Ryu Budo Dragonblood Society was established on September 7,
2024 Friday night Taikai Potluck Dinner hosted by Nathan Lake Sensei and the Martial Arts of Medford Dojo. The Society was created to preserve the Okinawan heritage of the Shobayashi Shorin-Ryu traditions of Shimabukuro, Eizo- Hanshi, and the perpetuation of the SanDoKai/Ukinjukan lineage of Thomas M. White, Soke.
Basic requirements for membership-·
- New members must be nominated by at least one charter member for inclusion.
- Candidates should be at least 4th Dan or above and be currently actively practicing members of the Ukinju-Ryu Budo family.
- No dues are currently required for membership.
- Members of the Ukinju-Ryu Budo Family are required to wear and display the Ukinju-Ryu Budo Yudansha Patch (Red Tomoe) on the gi when wearing one. When suited up in uniform, you represent our precious lineage and must conduct yourself accordingly!
This is an honor you earn by your dedication and commitment to serve our lineage and its founders. Those who serve are active links between the honored past and the hopeful future. Be a spirited practitioner who contributes to the continuation and enrichment of our martial arts story, and an indispensable link in our chain of custodianship.
